Hermetica began on October 30, 2020, when a small group of inexperienced but passionate players started queuing ranked games together in Age of Empires II. What began as a few matches slowly became something more. A place to learn, improve, and enjoy the game together.

On August 28, 2021, we opened our Discord server. From there the community grew naturally, one player at a time. Founding members, creative minds, competitive players, and curious newcomers all helped shape what Hermetica is today.

Over time the circle widened through different waves. Streamers, pro players, and familiar faces from the global AoE2 scene joined the tavern. We also began hosting tournaments such as Battle of the Backseat, the Enigma Cup, and Pangea 2. These events bring together veterans and new players in a competitive environment built on respect and fair play.

Today Hermetica is a global community without boundaries, where players enjoy the journey in a mature and welcoming spirit. Whether you are experienced or a noob, there is always a seat for you at our table.
