A community for dissecting the modern condition, From politics and philosophy to media, economics, technology, and cultural decay with social issues | State of society
State of Society was created as a space for open discussion about the modern world, the issues shaping it, and the ways those issues can be challenged, understood, or improved.
We live in a time marked by political division, war, social conflict, attacks on marginalized communities, and the erosion of rights and freedoms across many parts of the world. In moments like these, discussion matters. Remaining informed, questioning systems, exchanging perspectives, and engaging with society are all necessary parts of creating change.
As queer people and allies, we understand the importance of speaking up for ourselves and for those who come after us. Silence has rarely protected vulnerable people, while dialogue, solidarity, and awareness have the power to reduce harm and shift perspectives over time.
SOS welcomes a wide range of opinions and beliefs, provided discussions remain respectful and in line with our core values. This is a place for debate, analysis, disagreement, learning, and conversation without the expectation of ideological conformity.
Join us, share your perspective, and take part in the discussion.
