Community Server Cleanup Report for August 2025

This latest community update tackles common requests from server admins and community builders who've helped us identify clunky channel behavior and moderation tools. Key fixes include: Mod View now working on all servers, resolved mobile onboarding infinite loops, and Forum channels available across all server types without Community feature requirements. The improvements also cover better role editing on mobile, enhanced channel permission settings, and accessibility upgrades for Server Guides.

Dev Update: The Social SDK, Permissions, & Modals Get Upgraded

  • The Social SDK 1.5 release adds new features like DM history support, enhanced Rich Presence, and cross-device game invites. This release also includes key platform updates, such as improved mobile authentication and native ARM64 support for Windows.
  • We’ve added a new PIN_MESSAGES permission for more granular control over message pinning, which will replace the old MANAGE_MESSAGES permission on Jan. 12, 2026. You can also now manage large numbers of pinned messages more efficiently with our new paginated endpoints.
  • Modals now support new components, including a top-level Label component and String Select. These new additions give you more interactive options, making your modals more versatile and user-friendly.
