Amazon Music Unlimited Customers Can Listen Together on Discord

To listen together in the new Amazon Music Listening Party Activity, each participant will need their own Amazon Music Unlimited subscription, the subscription tier that lets you pick the exact song or podcast you want to listen to.

You can access the Activity on either desktop (left) or mobile (right)!

To get started, hop into any voice channel, text channel, or DM conversation. You can use the new Activity anywhere you can talk on Discord!

  • On desktop and web, use the Rocketship button in a voice call, or use the “+” button in a text conversation and pick “Start Activity.”
  • On mobile, open the App Launcher to find the Activity. It’s the icon with four shapes!

In the Activities list, you’ll see an option called “Amazon Music Listening Party.” You can probably figure out the rest: select “Amazon Music” from the list of Activities, link your Amazon Music account to Discord, and get to listening!

On the top of the Activity, you’ll see some very important tabs:

  • Home, where you’ll receive recommendations from Amazon Music and can explore what’s popular in the world. You know, popular like those songs you hear at the grocery store.
  • Library, where you’ll find all the music and podcasts you’ve saved and collected.
  • Podcasts, the home of… uh, podcasts!

The left side of the app? That’s the queue, where you can see what’s next and who added it. Everyone can add their favorite tunes to the queue, then you can (lovingly) sneak in an episode of that podcast you’re obsessed with while you’ve got ‘em in a group.

Your saved music and playlists in the Activity will sync to your Amazon Music account, letting you bring your VC’s favorite playlist with you wherever you go! Or, if you find a great album or podcast you wanna share with your friends while using the Amazon Music app on web or mobile, save it to your Library and you’ll find it the next time you start the Activity on Discord.
